Having seen shots of your Gold/Fire Crests, they surely have to be related, there's no other explanation. Maybe someone had them as pets back in the day, and they escaped to become a local fixture here. Similar to the Starlings and House Sparrows, but better :)

Great capture, yes they are both Kinglets, Firecrest (Regulus ignicapillus), Goldcrest (Regulus regulus).
