Thank you.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

Congrats on the Explore...

Thanks. The whole process is a mystery, I have had this happen several times with photos that I thought were just ok. Who knows.

Explore is a random selection from the large pool of daily uploaded images. It's just a cross section and it's all algorithms and has nothing to do with quality of the image, as a quick glance at the Explore pages show. I've had a number of my so-so images selected and my best images ignored. The one nice thing one can say about flickr Explore is that an image gets a lot of views, likes and comments. I find it a nuisance as often Explore means people spamming the comments with group banners and flickering gifs which I then have to remove as I loath them.

Whilst technically not a portrait I thought I would post it given this little guy has appeared in some of the othr images I posted here over last few days .

I actually took this image as it reminded me of the infamous Tiananmen square protest and that iconic image of the student protester standing in front of an approaching Chinese Red Army Tank! :)

Two pretty unique images and I love them both.

And boy oh boy, would I want to be that close to one of those gorgeous Cranes. But we don't even have them here.
