We targeted this long weekend spur trip for Viera, it has always been good to us.
But yesterday we discovered the Lake Apopka area; the north shore was hopping with birds
and lots (too many) of birders. Had a great time there and it is now tied with Viera for activity.
Found this Red-shouldered Hawk there-

Thanks. I saw some water birds like pelicans, western grebes and a few others but they were too far away for decent images.

Photos arent the best, but there are lots of firsts here for me, atleast for catching a photo of them. There were literally hundred of warblers in the park....

Love the whole series. Very pretty with the birds in their habitat. And the pics show well how hard it is to shoot these birds in the wild being as tiny as they are and always hiding in the thick of the trees.

Thanks!! There was no getting away from them in their environment here haha. It was so crazy, ive never seen that many little birds in one area at a time before.
