More snow birds

A flock of 31 Rusty Blackbirds came into the yard, and each time I was sitting in the blind with the camera AND they used the photo branches...such luck!

Wonderful predator shot, Shalu, but I think that fish is going to be a little tough to swallow. If this guy does manage to swallow it, he's is going to need a long runway for takeoff.

Awesome capture Shalu.
That Cormorant wants a meal not a snack.

Agree. Beautiful photo, great action shot.
Looks like it's already full to the gunwales and it's not yet fully loaded. :p

Thank you very much for your compliments, Mike, Paul and Richard! After about 5 seconds of struggle, the cormorant did manage to swallow the trout whole!

Am Goldfinch (again) They will be gone around the end of January. A flush in the yard revealed probably +100 yesterday. Unreal numbers this year.

Well captured, Mike. Looks like you shot in some overcast lighting, but you captured some good color. The light/shadow under the wings is nice, I'm liking the puffy character of that plumage.

Thank you very much Matt. It was an overcast day, and I used a bit of saturation to give the bird just a bit of color.

Awesome Shoveler, nice shot Mike.
Happy trails:-)

I appreciate your kind compliment Paul. Thank you.
