The photo was taken in an unused quarry. To protect and stop the public getting hit by falling rocks there are wide barriers about 60-70 metres from the cliff face. Also the bird was very high up and to get the best angle is to go further back. Often see Raptors in this quarry, I'm very lucky to have it only a few hundred yards from my house.
