Black oil sunflower seed.. I buy it by the 50lbs bag... just normal seed around here.. I was talking about him at the time I did the video and just wanted to show how he was very into coming to hand. I find if birds read you as non threatening they just fly in and land... he became much like a dog and would come from where ever he was.. that’s why I call him special.

That white was the hardest thing I ever tried to shoot I think... Wasted a good half a 7DII on that bird lol


I know you miss that guy a bunch and I always thnk of it and you when i see my white goldfinch. Good caption with wasting half a 7D on it haha.
