I watched them for a few weeks and found some favourite perches. Then I set up a portable blind. Even then, it still took quite a bit of time to get them to land close ! Smart ones they are. Not to mention, I think the people in the little bayside village of Shrewsbury,Ontario had a weirdo stalker in the neighbourhood.  :p

Decided to use my old 1ds3 today for a change . This body was released over 11 years ago and I've owned mine for nearly 8 years. It still takes amazing photo's. It has it's limitations, however it's never failed me. I must use it more.

The bird below is a Common Snipe having a stretch.

Counted 11 Crossbills today (Orange/Yellow/Olive-Green) in the Forest of Dean coming down from the trees to drink from the puddles.
