This is the first time in my life I have seen a blackcap, managed to capture it through lounge window.

Congrats on a first, nice shot through the window.

Thank you all ! The best part is that I was sitting comfortably in an overflow channel, with the water surface right at eye/lens level.

Another great moorhen shot Vassilis. I certainly don't envy your having to sit at eye level in an overflow channel. And that moorhen looks like it's telling you a thing or two.

These two last ones are exceptional.
Love the colours and composition.
So clean and crisp.

These owls are a real feast for the eyes.
Exceedingly beautiful.
Very nicely captured.

Couple beauties there.
male has more sense. Doesn't try and balance on the prongs.
But then the female maybe smarter. :p
Lovely birds.

Nice, I do not get to see them that much.

Thank you Rob. I see them often enough, but it's getting close that's the hard part.

It was a totally dry concrete overflow channel and I was really comfortable sitting in a folding stool, enjoying a cup of coffee.
Very common birds in that pond unfortunately
