What focus settings do you use for your bird pahotography with your nikons - Focus/Relese priority, Tracking with Lock-On - On or off?

With Temps at - 12F , ( and it's warmer today), deep snow that is ice covered a flock of 1 1/2 year old gobblers moved into my yard to eat from the bird feeders. My bird food cost will rise drastically now

This is what I'd call an exciting action photo. I Love all the splashing water. It certainly is a well executed shot, Shalu. Oh yeah, he get that fish down with ease.

Sure. The Thief has a thick neck, thicker than the Hunter's neck, and I just bet it's hollow.

Birds always adjust the fish orientation so that the fish head is facing its throat before it swallows the fish. It is getting there:
