I am so lucky to have a pair of Peregrines 2-300 metres from my home in a perfect quarry setting. Last year they nested but unfortunately they were continuously ambushed by crows/jackdaws/ravens and had their eggs taken from their nest. The year before the Male falcon flew off and never came back and a few weeks latter another male appeared. In the last few days they have started to mate so I'm hoping this will be a successful year.

They do like to fight. And you got a ring side shot. Very nice, Shalu.

Thank you, Mike!

Great falcon portrait. I never knew a predator like this could have such a tough life.

Robert, Robert, Robert...never complain about only shooting cardinals. They are such gorgeous birds. I never tire of seeing outstanding shots like this one. It is truly awesome.

Such a nice shot of this regal falcon, Paul...truly impressive. Your written account is very interesting. The whitewash even looks good. :p

How in the world do you consistently come up with these incredible shots, Shalu? I'm always looking forward to seeing what you're going to come up with next. I'm never disappointed.

The first of another great set shalu ? Usually the cormorants are doing the difficult job by fishing while diving, so they scare the fish to the surface, offering an easy meal to the pelicans
