So I went to Australia for the afternoon - got this pic of a bird - no idea what kind it is.

There're hard to get close to. I got one a while back after a few shots.

Charles I carry a Lumix GX8 + Leica 100-400mm everyday everywhere (along with a Sony RX100v) in my sling-bag.
And the Lumix this past weekend was in my lap throughout a 4 day paddle camping trip. mFT has its limitations but
this set up doesn't weigh a bunch considering it's focal length (200-800mm 35 equivalent), lens and body are weather sealed-
and both lens and body got dripped on and/or condensation quite a bit, and it didn't get in my way of moving the paddle 42 miles.

Thank you MM, I appreciate you taking the time to explain what you do!

Please pardon my ignorance... what is mFT?

Yep, at Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Canberra. We don't have White-cheeked here but one turned up late last year and seems it got on well with the New Holland  Now i just have to wait for it to become official.

Excellent! How exciting, let us know how it goes. I'm very interested.

True. It isn't "right there". You have to click on the flickr link to see the exif.

I was going to respond to this earlier, but then I got side tracked.....

Thank you for the tip Levina! ;-)a

Charles, mFT is micro-four thirds.....describing the sensor size in Panasonic and Olympus cameras. Panasonic, i.e. Lumix, shares lens mounts with Olympus so you can use
either manufacturer's lenses. We have Oly and Panasonic lenses at home.
