A Forster's tern landed right in front of me. It happened quite a few times, maybe I smell fishy :p

A gem found last week. Of course hiding in the shadows but hey, that's what they do when I'm
looking for them :)

Thank you very much, Thomas and Mike!

Great shot of the acorn woodpecker, Mike! This must not be his home tree, I don't see many holes with acorns in it

Thank you for the kind comment Shalu. And no, this is not the home tree of this peckerwood. He dwells nearby.:-)

Your phoebe shot is wonderful Shalu. However in all your bird shots lately, they are chowing down on crane flies. I'm worried about them driving this poor harmless insect in to extinction. :-P:lol:

Yello Wagtail, I was trying to photograph skylark hovering. When a flock of 8-9 of these landed behind me. They stayed for 5 mins giving me plenty of time to get the shots. A pleasure to watch and exciting I didn't know where to look so much going on.

Thank you very much, Mike! I got a whole sequence of shots of the tern catching a crane fly today, but due to your concern of the extinction of crane fly, I will leave that for another day. :p
