The Redstart are just stunning birds, It's been a great year for them so far and I'm pleased to say I know of 5 nesting pairs in different locations. I often find them difficult to photograph as their black eye just merges into the black part of their head and the white patch on the top of their head can easily be blown out, but if you get the light behind you they make wonderful subjects to photograph

Nice California quail shot, Darrell. This has been a good year for quail. I'm finding them in spots that I rarely see them.

Thank you Mike, yes it has been good............

Pied Flycatcher at Dartmoor feeding young. I watched this bird for an hour and counted 11 trips capturing flies, spiders and caterpillars. A busy parent indeed!

You sure got that shot at the right moment. It gives the impression that those two siblings are quite close with one another. Very nice, Shalu.

Nice one, Shalu. It appears as though this killdeer is trying to get you away from it's nest.

That surely is a nicely done, humerus shot, Shalu.

Thank you very much, Mike!

Both of these Redstart shots are so nice, Paul. My favorite is the first one.

Very impressive image, Paul. This bird is really attractive, and your shot captured it so well.

What a shot, Chris. This one looks "hell bent" on attacking that camera you're holding.
