Shalu, this shot is sharp crisp, colorful, and the birds really stand out nicely from the background.

Thank you very much, Mike!

This little guy watches the moths fly over the dark tarmac then gives chase. Not sure if he's a swift?

Thanks, they're sure fun to watch chase moths. These live in Borrego Springs, Ca.

I've read many threads where the desire to help was debated as a perversion of the natural order. But every time I see even a dead baby sparrow that's fallen out of it's nest it bothers me. When I found the GBH's nesting site in Point Loma a few weeks ago I came across one of their babies carcass that had fallen out of the tree, same feeling.

Avocet Chicks.....

Despite the very protective parents the chicks were easy pickings for the gulls.
In the 15 mins I was watching these beauties one of them was taken. Minutes later Both of the moorhen chicks were swallowed whole in flight as the Gulls was being chased off by the Avocets and other bird parent species. It was a very frantic time and experience for the parents. Seconds before this happened there was lots of commotion and noise as the birds were put up and flying everywhere I didn't know what was going on and didn't know where to look thinking a Raptor was in the area.

Incredibly nice shot, Shalu. Absolutely sharp as a tack.
