Thanks Ed! I could see the effect in my viewfinder but didn't expect it to be captured so nicely.

Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.

At risk of being repetitive, that is just beautiful Tom! :)

Lovely light, super composition, sharp sharp sharp, milky-soft background - what more could one ask for?

Hi Phil...

Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot to me.

Two beautifully photographed birds Shalu.
Love the Bushtit. Very nice.

The Bishop's are very pretty and colourful. (Hadn't realised they're imports according to Google)

Love the composition of both.

Nuthatch, One of those shots where you just focus on the stick sooner or later the bird will land on it.

I'm use to seeing these treecreepers upside down or only usually get their backs as they hop up the trees. This one was happy to pose.

A very well camouflaged bird.

Another Arctic Tern. Rather foolishly, I crouched down to try to get a lower angle shot and immediately the bird attacked me. Its mate was on a nest a few feet away and it obviously considered me a danger. My bad. I should have anticipated that.

Very nice, Mike. The blue sky peeking thru looks very cool. We have a good number of black phoebes in my area. I really enjoy watching them.

fotoi...you truly are a master at capturing birds in the most beautiful water situations. This common ol' coot (mudhen) looks really cool in this buttery, swirling, golden water.

This is the original. I thought the orange in the channel marker sign would be distracting so I tried to change it to a more neutral color. On second thought maybe I should have left the sign intact.

Love this shot, Bob. Nicely done. On my screen the first shot appeared a bit over sharpened, whereas this one appears perfect.

I love this one, Phil. The rusty old barbed-wire, and the spider webs make for a neat setting.

Incredibly nice shot, Bill. Did you hit him with a little flash?
