Caught this Hen Pheasant in the heather at the back end of summer. She kept me occupied while waiting for some squirrels to show.

Snowy Egret taken in Florida. I'm leading a Florida Birds tour in late February and Tamron is offering 150-600mm G2 loaner lenses for use during the tour. Email me for details and get images like this. Canon 6D, Tamron 150-600mm lens hand held.

That one's missing a toenail!!

The Ontario feeder I watch had a bunch of pine grosbeaks on it this morning then a lovely male evening grosbeak showed up. Such pretty birds and they are much smaller then what they look/how i imagined them.

There was also a single redpoll on it this morning. I'd also love to see one of those.

Black flies are these terrible tiny super bity insects that are attracted to the co2 in your breathe. so they swarm your face and cover you in itchy bites. they are the worst

Sounds like what we Floridian's experience with fire ants.

Jeff beautiful detail on your shot, lucky to be able to be so close. Did you see the Fox video I mentioned you in on FB. If not, go to my page I shared it. You can see it there. Think you'll enjoy it.

Of course I remembered... Photographic memory, lol That very sentiment I have tried to live by,.. Learn just a little something from everyone I shoot with. Black fly's are free around here MedicineMan, this May you can have a truck load if you wish. if you would like I can pull it off of any fur bearing animal you like.

Well I might as well start today with the Girl everything is better with a girl in it.
Naming Birds is a fun thing to do but not mandatory lol Female Evening Grosbeak
