Now what am I going to do? I thought I had an answer... :-(

It's like time. Ask someone what time it is and you will know what time it is. But ask two people what time it is, and you won't know what time it is.

Everyone over here says 'Chuff'. :-) Never heard 'Chow', except from the birds themselves.

OK, I'm going with chuff - which is what Wiktionary says too. :-)

Maybe we could start a revolution and write it as "chuff".

We have red-billed chough relatively local to me but yellow-billed are southern European/Asian birds. I've never got any decent shots of chough so I'm going to have to remedy that sometime soon! :)

Alpine Choughs will come to food and can be quite tame at mountain-top stations. I snapped mine at the top cable car station at Fuente Dé in Cantabria - which is also perhaps the most reliable site in Europe to see Wallcreeper in summer (so long as you know the right cliff to search). I don't know where you can get near Red-billed Choughs though.

Alpine Accentor. It was confiding enough, but it resolutely refused to pose properly!

Really nice shot, Shalu. The color on this bird is quite pretty. Great blurred background.

What a super nice reflection shot of this skimmer, Shalu! Beautifully done.

Thank you very much, Mike!
