Another Alpine Accentor. The bird was very harshly backlit and I always forget that one is supposed to use flash to counter that - but I do wonder whether flash would spook the bird. Guess there's only one way to find out.

Your observations are correct about these little beauties. I'm not an ornithologist by any means, but the Rosy-Faced Lovebirds in my area seem to be part of a tight-knit group of about 8-10 birds. I've rarely seen them all by themselves. These birds are part of an ever-evolving set of wild birds that initially started with an escape or purposeful release of them from an aviary in the Phoenix area many years ago. They are fun to watch and photograph and are far more colorful than any of the native bird species found in the Sonoran Desert area.
