Great idea!
It was cool watching them pick up this tree with a small crane and lower it into position on the metal pole.
We've got 2 more 'shooting' zones depending on how close you want to be and what kind of bird.
If you guys are interested I can post up the 'hawk' tower someday.

You should! If you do post it here and I will follow it! I am getting ready to set up my first yard studio, and I would love to see what everyone here has done. I love the images and I have learned a ton. Thanks for thinking of that thread - it would be cool!

Over here we call your Blue Heron "American Blue Heron" to distinguish it from our own Heron which we call "Blue Heron" ("Blauwe Reiger" in Dutch), but which you would call "Grey Heron". Bird names can be so confusing! :-P
