I was focused on him and waiting for him to get closer to me. Then from no where a black headed gull, dived onto him. He turned around and was off like a shot back to where I first spotted him. Ten minutes later again he started to walk towards me, he got exactly to the same location and that gull annoyingly harassed him. Yes he was off back to the start. third time lucky I thought. I kept him in sight knowing he would get to me eventually. I kept looking up from the corner of my eye for the gull, he was not around. I was saying to my self "come-on you beauty hurry up before that bloody gull comes back". The gull then landed in front of me about 8 metres away and was waiting for him. The Sandpiper still milling around and coming forward now about 25 metres away. I Found my-self shouting out "Shoo, go on hop it, Shoo, leave him alone" waving my monopod around with gear attached the gull took flight. The Sandpiper soon walked right passed me and gave me a look. it was a look of thanks mate. I got my shots. He carried on with his route to the other side of the reservoir.....Sometimes you just got to do these things. I don't like bullies.
