This is a somewhat elusive Noisy Pitta taken in the Lamington National Park. They seem quite shy birds.

In #2, I interrupted his lunch of forest floor escargots....

Pippan, just you go Steady! You might give it a complex about it's weight.-?
The pigeons cannot hang onto the bird feeders so when they see the smaller birds shaking the seeds and mealworms out of them they wait on the ground below for what falls out.
I feel so sorry for them sometimes that I go and throw a few handfuls of grain etc for them. Ain't I nice:-)

Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.
