Heading out to get a little migration action at the coast with mask at the ready. Hopefully catch them needing to rest when they hit the coastline sanctuaries. A little something from last year.

Northern parula

Very pretty small (showy) bird Bill. Love its pose

Very nice, Richard. I'd love to see more shots of this little guy/gal, if you have them to share! Are these a more common or uncommon bird down under? Just wanting to know what my chances are of seeing these and the Fairy Wrens, when I visit someday

Thanks Matthew. Yes there will be plenty of these and wrens about. They are common here but no where near as common as the wrens, We've 2 that flit about the immediate yard to about a dozen wrens. There's more further away from the yard along the creeks, similar proportions
I will surely share them

I took the first one before he was ready.

Exceptionally beautiful bird and very nicely presented. Quite a show bird.

Excellent shot, Richard. Nice blurry colors in the background.

Thank you Mike for your kind comments, they are much valued.

Very nicely done cardinal shots, AK!

Very nice drake quail shot, Ken. He seems to be well fed. :-)

Another excellent fish capture by the cormorant, Shalu.

Thanks, Mike

A friend told me last year to set out oranges for them.

Thanks, Harry

Awesome, thank you, Harry. Might have to try this myself, as we have Orchards in our immediate area that I'd love to see up close (they're a challenging subject to get close to). We have Baltimores as well, but I hardly ever see them, so I need all the help I can get.

Gorgeous bird, nicely captured!

Always love seeing unique species from other parts of the world, and I would certainly love to photograph this one.

My favorite Turkey portait yet, Rob. Good stuff!

Beautiful, Bill! Someone mentioned that Texas just got a nice wave of migrating birds. You seeing that down your way?

One of my nemesis summer birds. With other species (Common Yellow-throats and Eastern Towhees especially), the females are much more difficult to catch in the open, but it's the opposite for Redstarts. I have a million shots of the girls, but the males are insanely skittish. Hopefully my luck changes this year.
