He kept using the same perches and let people get quite close, but the sun angle wasn't great. This shot was more typical.

There’s far too many colourful, rare and beautiful birds on here! I am completely in awe of how you guys get such consistently stunning shots! To lower the tone a bit here is a Jackdaw from my garden this afternoon!
