The water and the 'sticks' poking up all make it beautiful IMO. The colours are very nice. It has life Richard, I really appreciate your thoughtful, uplifting comments. About three or four years ago I found this pond that offers some great opportunities for herons and egrets (plus numerous other interesting birds). Even now, I go there several times a week. I was amazed at such a large insect and how would that youngster get it down. Did they dissect the dragonfly? They just swallow them whole. Those dragonflies compact down pretty well. Select the twig with the Lasso Tool and then use "Content Aware Fill" which searches around the twig and replaces the twig pixels with pixels around the twig. I then used a Nik Plug In (Detail Extractor) which boosts micro contrast but I restricted this to the birds, so the nice, smooth BG was not affected. I then used Topaz DeNoise AI at default settings. Like all new things, it may sound complex and a bit overwhelming to start with, but once you have used CAF a few times, it becomes 2nd nature and is a very useful tool. ![]() Cheers Dennis Dennis, I just downloaded PS because I wanted to have a look. I've been afraid of it because it could involve so much time on the computer. And I already spend too much time on the computer! But your example was intriguing and I thought I should check this out a bit. Canon R5 and R7, assorted Canon lenses, Sony RX100, Pentax Spotmatic F

Following are not in order or always, but I lift shadows if needed (Photoshop Elements) and mess with black/white combo. Then use DeNoise AI to reduce noise. Latter helps clean them, then tad sharpen... DeNoise AI by Topaz? People praise it. I guess it makes a difference. Thanks!
