A sulphur crested Cockatoo keeping guard at the entrance of a walking track I sometimes frequent.

Near where this pic was taken is a popular tourist spot for overseas tourists who want to see local wildlife like Cockatoos , Rosellas ,Lyerbirds Koala bears and the odd kangaroo/ Wallaby . These tourists inturn feed the birds and other wildlife with left over scraps of food like chips, candy etc even though there are signs everywhere saying not to feed them except with special seed that they can purchase nearby . Now many of the birds like these sulphur crested cockartoos fall prey to diseases etc that they normally would never get as their normal diest have now been replaced with a junk food diet !!.

Well I was gone 3 days backpacking in the highlands, trying to get caught up on the forums, and man have I missed a ton of beautiful captures. Just outstanding work by everyone. Good to see Ed has a new body.
I did get up and find a little song bird out back this morning, oh, check out my ISO, a rare rare day indeed for that kind of light here!
