Ya but nice Image,.. Nice Duane

Thank you. The funny thing was I was sitting in my truck and as people would stop and get out to photograph it it would fly further into the marsh. They would soon leave and the Kingfisher would return to this perch and fish. This happened several times but it always returned. Sometimes people are in too much of a hurry. ;-)a

Nah they did you a favour, sometimes it works really good to fool the birds into thinking we are gone. great stuff .....You got a great shot. I have little Grey dots off in the distance

I'm familiar with the dots and blurs as they laugh at me and fly away. And why I usually pass on trying to photograph them...lol. We call them jerk birds down here....:-D

lol Ive added colourful words to the jerk part a few times. theres one lives in the pond across the road from me. the water is a bit shallow so a canoe/Kayak is not really a way out there. And they fly back and forth just out there far enough to give you nothing.

One of my only encounters with these frustrating birds worth sharing...most of the time the images are of their backside but I usually don't bother trying to photograph them. This was taken at Chincoteague NWR.
