you've all probably done this. read about a bird that's rarely seen in your region(it's either lost or transported there by other means.)

and then go find it!

i went, i saw, i conquered, a female Blue Bird.

Quail are such fascinating birds to me.

Thanks so much Richard. I've always been big fan of upland birds. They are quite skittish and difficult to photograph. Whenever I get a decent shot of a quail, it's almost always unplanned. It usually happens when I'm sitting quietly trying to photograph some other bird. The quail don't don't know I'm there, and they walk up very close to me on numerous occasions. The trick is, to remain as still as I can and make really slow movements.
