yes was with eye detection.
I made a burst of 40 shots and 38 were sharp.
When the owl came closer it is more difficult to follow him in the viewfinder.
Even the pictures at the border of the screen were sharp.

Great portrait, and the eyes have it. Interesting that the eagle (and some other birds too) can direct their eyes forward like that to achieve binocular vision.
