Nice sharp close-up of this guy, SYS!

Great sharp portrait shot of this hen wood duck, fotoi! I like the colors in the ripples of the water, plus the nice blurred background. Not only that, but the lighting is excellent in this shot.

Perfect timing, Cog! Great looking shot of this one fluffing it's feathers.

Thank you very much Mike. I really appreciate it.

You have to be grounded to be shocked (electrocuted). If we sat on those wires we would be ok too.

Thanks fotoi, they are not in contact to anything connected to the ground. So they are lucky to have the perch they have for hunting.

Fantastic pose and photo.
Love the details

That 40-150 2.8 is a beautiful lens.

An uncommon bird in these parts. This was only my second time seeing one up close. :-)

Lovely overall image Melissa
The ambience sets it apart. The Coot stands out well against the background with each complimenting the other.

A-Number-1 shot, Richard! I absolutely love the birds pose in this shot.

She should know better than to try to bath before a photo shoot, Richard! :p

Thank you Mike. You're very generous with your kind comments. :-)
The female just looked quaint in her bath robes so posted to show another side of them.

Beautiful. We had one in the DC area around the 4th of January. It was way out of it's territory.
