Very nice with the dark background, Richard! kinda looks like she's a bit ruffled up. Musta had a rough night. :p

What a gorgeous swan, Richard. You really captured this one nicely!

Thank you Paul. I rarely run across the Say's phoebe. The black phoebe is far more common and more attractive in my opinion.

Excellent sharpness and color of this very lifelike looking hen wigeon, fotoi!

This is a terrific capture, SYS! Missed you around here lately.

Nice, sharp image, Bill!

Gorgeous, Joe...great lighting and color!

Love these two shots, Paul! Very nice photography.

Great close-up SYS! Your IQ is excellent with the 1.4x - 1.6 crop mode!

Very nice, sharp hen mallard portrait, fotoi!

Great shots Paul, especially the second one with the water flying in every direction!

Thank you very much, Mike!

Excellent photo Mike. I've yet to see one of these in the places I visit a little north of you.

My parents live in Sydney and there Indian mynahs have completely taken over their backyard. Australia's native versions (there are 4 species) are generally spelt 'miner' and although they look similar to mynahs they are not particularly closely related to them, being in different bird families.

My mistake in spelling. Noisy Miner
not the best but shows their unique head attire

Many thanks Mike for you generous comments again :-)
Yes they'd (Wrens) been foraging in and around the apple tree and there was left over water from massive rain event two days before

I don't see many captures of a Black Swan...awesome!

Thankyou. I've heaps - should post more :-)

This one from today was when I was returning home and pulled up at a local dam. I was a bit too hasty and settings were all wrong and results mediocre.:-(
This is a young and its parent. There were several swimming about and at one time a platypus was swimming with them.
