Yes they'd (Wrens) been foraging in and around the apple tree and there was left over water from massive rain event two days before

This one from today was when I was returning home and pulled up at a local dam. I was a bit too hasty and settings were all wrong and results mediocre.
This is a young and its parent. There were several swimming about and at one time a platypus was swimming with them.
