We likely all prefer natural settings for birds but never having photographed a Peregrine Falcon, I dashed to an abandoned water Tower in Baltimore where a pair was nesting.

Isn't a natural setting where the birds are naturally? LOL This is a great image. I really like the lines of the architecture with this image. Tack sharp!!! Nice job.

Virginia rail...shouldn’t have been anywhere near here for the winter. But it seemed to be thriving, picking off easy targets like this dormant, hibernating frog.

Now there's a metaphysical question! LOL. Thanks so much for your comments, Jamey! I, too, like the lines...gives a different feel.

An imposing bird.
Interesting photo all round.
That dead tree obviously gets a fair bit of use. Assume birds hammer the holes in, not a 50mm canon :p
Good to see these natural settings.

Many thanks Mike. I love their company ;-)a
Wish I could put sound with them too.

Thanks Steve. Yes we have some beautiful birds, but then we all do. I ogle at some over your way.
Most of what I photograph are from my yard, farm etc. There's much vegetation to attract them and they're more used to my presence.

Brian that grouse is magnificent.
Beautifully composed.
So very nice.

Thank you Richard :)

Both are wonderful images, Brian. The ruffed grouse is a killer shot, and the Semipalmated plover is so sharp and lifelike looking.

Very nicely composed, Sid! Beautifully photographed!

Beautiful, Sid!

Great capture, Steve. This guy is definitely giving you the "stink eye." I'll bet there are no pigeon problems there.:-)

Awesome, Ed!

Thank you Mike :)
