Beautiful shot, Mike. That R5 is getting some great detail for you.

Thank you very much, fotoi. The more I use the R5, the more I like it.

And down the "pie hole" it goes. Great close up, two shot series, Paul! Sharp as a tack.

Terrific waxwing shot, John!

Two stunning shots, Brian! Both are so sharp and nicely composed.

Beautiful setting with this hen mallard, fotoi! The sharpness and colors are really nice.

Thank you, Mike.

Nice capture, Ken! I'll bet it steps on it's own feet fairly often. :p

This Saddleback or Tieke is a hard bird to get a shot of in our thick bush. It loves the shade and flits almost constantly. It gets its English name from the brown patch on its back and sides that stronly resemble a saddle in shape and shade.

Thanks, Mike. Looks like walking would be difficult, but they spend a lot of time grazing on land.

The Kea the world's only mountain parrot, is unique to NZ and is a VERY smart bird, and it likes to keep itself in prime condition with a regular bath. I caught this one in the act, heading for a refreshing dip!

An was rewarded with a flash of its bright red under-wing plumage, so different from it's green-brown normal display
