But you nailed it! Excellent pose - a profile view, yet with the head turned ever so slightly toward the camera. Beautifully blurred out natural background - no choppy bokeh or distractions of any kind. Light that is perfectly even across the entire bird, not hard shadows and no bright highlights. No distractions or vegetation in the foreground that obscure parts of the bird from view. This is a most excellent portrait, the quality of which I would love to see posted more often. . My eyes are very happy when they see this type of bird portraiture! . Tom, thanks very much for the glowing critique, I'm very glad that it moved you enough to respond in such a positive way!

I smoothed over the left side and a bit of the right edge. Not sure about results, but she doesn't compete with much ![]() Superb Fairy Wren If you're not sure of the results, then let us tell you...
