The Goshawk is up to 55 cm long with a wingspan of up to 110 cm. and Female: 680 g, Male: 350 g

Greater Sage-grouse, male, performing his mating display.
Waterville Plateau, northcentral Washington state.

Strongly sidelit/backlit, just after sunrise. . Shot from a blind, with the camera and lens pressed down into the dirt to get as low an angle as possible. . Not cropped at all.

this little girl was on the end of a sheet of corrugated iron that just blended into the background.
I smoothed over the left side and a bit of the right edge. Not sure about results, but she doesn't compete with much  :p
