Apricane Shooting the breeze More info | May 02, 2021 16:48 | #76269 Definitely not a prize-winner for sure, but so far is the only bird shot I've been able to do all year, what with the COVID-19 restrictions (I could get a stiff fine by attempting to go to my usual birding spots). That being said, I guess that this is the baptism for my a6600: first bird photo on it. Based on shooting those gulls, I'd say performance is exactly where I'd want it to be! Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts More info | May 02, 2021 18:55 | #76275 Cog2020 wrote in post #19230454 A white-eared bulbul ![]() Very nice shot, Cog! I like the composition of this one. robamy wrote in post #19230461 ![]() ![]() These are both great captures, Rob! I love your shot of the jay. They've always been a favorite of mine...wish we had them out here where I live. avondale87 wrote in post #19230478 Kookaburra eyeing off its next meal which turned out to be a small lizard which it quickly devoured These guys are such neat looking birds, Richard. Nice capture! That stout looking bill can deliver quite a punch, I'd imagine. Very nice hen portrait, fotoi! Her hair style is unique...not like the other hen wood ducks. That usually is the result of some rough mating's. MatthewK wrote in post #19230533 Yet another White-throated Sparrow, birds which are notoriously difficult (for me at least) to photograph during the winter months but warm up along with the Spring weather. I do believe that they'll head north soon: A Northern Parula that I shot yesterday, while wearing my 6mo old daughter strapped to my front Both are beautifully shots, Matt! Carrying your daughter, strapped in front of you will teach her to learn the names of many of the birds you shoot, at an early age. Terrific shot of this white-winged dove, Tom! I do wish we had them here in California. That orange eye with the baby blue color around it, is very pretty. Bill in Texas wrote in post #19230565 A-Number-1 shot, Bill! Beautiful composition. Terrific capture of this little beauty, Steve! steveb108 wrote in post #19230583 It looks as if this Pine Warbler is posing for its school's yearbook. Absolutely wonderful shots, Steve! Very nicely captured. These are two beautifully captured shots of the burrowing owl, Paul! The sharpness is excellent, and the background is great. amyandmark3 wrote in post #19230613 ![]() Nice hen wood duck capture, Mark! I like the lighting you were able to get. LD, or Mike
