Unusual and beautiful bird.
Nice composition with it off to the side seemingly focused on something important

Though there seem to be occasional reports of Summer Tanagers each summer, eBird continues to refer to them as rare visitors for Maryland.

Brilliant in every way :-)
Magnificent bird. You've captured that very nicely

Really lovely series.
Whilst the Oriole is my favourite, they are all excellent and show the beauty of each bird very nicely.

What a cool looking shot, Richard! Very nice photography.

Strikingly gorgeous bird, and a beautiful capture, Steve!

What a fantastic capture, Steve! Because of it's white eyes, and it's mouth being open...this vireo looks like it's smiling. or at least happy.:-)

Gorgeous capture of this beautiful whistling duck, Mikeivan!

Beautiful shot of this drake wigeon, fotoi!

Thank you, Mike.

Thanks so much for your comments, Mike! I saw the Tanager on my first stop and the Vireo on the 2nd...I went home very contented. ☺

Nice shot. Sometimes eBird flags a bird as are if the sighting is just outside its normal rage or a little bit early/late if its a seasonal bird. But sometimes the flags are just baffling.

Thanks for your comments, Ken! Hope you didn't think I was being critical. The experts at eBird have a tough job, but do an excellent job in my estimation.

Awesome detail! That lens is on my shortlist but will wait when it appears used, for now my 100-400 II will do...

Thanks. I just rented it for a week, so my 100-400 will do for a while too. But the 100-500 does take the 1.4 very well, and 700mm is nice.

This is a lovely image, Mike. The ducklings are especially eye-catching. I've never really paid attention to Mallards and their offspring before, but I will now.
