I have as many spoonie pics as anyone and have seen thousands. But I love this one, it looks like he is smiling....and up to no good!!! :)

Thanks Ed ! It was the first, and only time I've ever seen one. Interesting birds.

Hi Ed,

It's weird indeed... it's something this forum does with this lens. I just changed it manually to the correct lens. Thanks!

Pretty funny... I was thinking last night.... I wonder if the loons are back in Jeff's stomping grounds. It's nice to see another great photograph of them this season? Any couples with eggs?

A rare bird for my area, shame it's a young bird the adults look much better.

Here in FL spoonbills are an obsession with many photographers, including me!! Ever since I discovered they existed, which was only a few years ago. This year I haven;t seen too many locally, usually there are more by now. But in March I was at a spoonbill rookery with Medicineman and Archibald, I have been there before, and there were a bunch of them. Locally they have been a bust so far.

Finally, something other than chickadees and woodpeckers to shoot :)

Normally I only see a few Dark Eyed Junco's on the ground but a whole flock passed through the other day.

Snowing off and on and overcast but...
