When I started this technique my "savers" improved drastically. Great Yellowthroat image too. What cannot be helped is the AF speed-it is what it is as they say. T. I hear your logic Terry... and do believe your on the right track but I'm not talking about stability control.. God knows I'm all about motion blur. I'm more talking about the lack of image quality when used with the 100-400mm II.. Now I maybe nit-picking but the noise generated by taking this lens into the f8-9 range in just ok light of which I shoot in year round just annoys the heck out of me in post. I may be asking for to much as I've been shooting this combo for 3 years come October, and I should have taken a deal offered to me by MM but I guess. Jeff ........, 7D, 70-300L, 100-400LII
