Went to Chipping Sodbury Common in South Gloucestershire (UK) this morning. Amazing place, Birds everywhere, I counted 11 different species in less than an hour. I will post photo's over next week. I don't wish to dominate the forum with my photo's at the same time.

There were 5 Redstarts, 2 Males, 3 Females.

Pretty shot, but it looks a bit over sharpened to me.

Thank You, Yes your absolutely right. I use Canon's free software DPP only. I knocked the Sharpness down to 0 and replaced the photo's to see what you think but they still look sharp. I will need to check my in-camera settings and re-adjust the settings.

I like this one better, but now it could use just a tiny bit of sharpening.
The free Adobe Photoshop 9.0.2 PSCS2 (external link) is still available if you decide to go beyond DPP.
I don't remember needing a serial #, but if you do, look at steps 2-5 Here. (external link)

Sticky: Sharpening Tips & Tricks, Tutorials, and FAQ

As you can see, there are several ways to sharpen, but generally, I only sharpen the part of the image that will benefit the most.
Selection for sharpening illustration.
