My little white guy did NOT show up this year... kinda disappointed about that Oh no!!! What a bummer!! Michael Rumsey wrote in post #18534555 What would you do? I finally have some $$$ to spend. I can buy a 1D IV (or) 7D II to use with my 300mm f/4 IS + 2X converter. OR spend the money on a Sigma 150-600mm and keep shooting with my 7D until it finally dies. (ultimately, I'd like the canon 100-400mm mark II...but it's currently out of my budget range) honestly....save the money you have just hold out for the 100-400. If you are still shooting the original 7D, I would wait and see what the rumored 7D Mark III looks like. I had the original 7D and hated it. I moved to the 7D mark II and like it much better. I will be giving the Mark III a hard look when it gets announced, supposedly 1st quarter of 2018. flickr

Of course, when the 7D III comes out there should be more used Mark II's on the market as people upgrade. "He's Just This Guy, You Know?"

I use a 300 F4L IS as well. I also have a 150-600. I prefer the 300 F4L IS with TC's honestly at this point.

Very best, Bigger sensor + bulletproof/anvil construction vs newer tech, familiar controls, and same battery system that I currently use. (sigh) "He's Just This Guy, You Know?"
