Came across an oldie that I decide to process. Taken just before dawn with the old Canon 5Dc.

I like the second shot best, although both are rather dark on my screen. We haven't had any Waxwings in southern England this year, so : lucky you!

I have recently started using a monopod with my 300mm f/2.8 and 2x extender. It's a bit of a pain, as, extended, I find it awkward when walking about, but, if collapsed, I might miss a good opportunity while I set it up.

I'm almost always on a monopod. I just make sure the lens/camera is secure and rest it over my shoulder when carrying.

An eagle that I was trying out my Nikon P900 on, it was a very blustery day, as Winnie the Pooh would say. :)
Taken early morning at Hagerman's Wildlife Refuge by Lake Texoma while she was sitting on top of a telephone pole.

Oh yeah, her name is, "Lucy", her husband is, "Ricky", there are two "Little Ricky's" also.:-P:-P:-P:-P

Waxwings are fairly common here. They are usually hanging out where I am not. I search for them and mostly miss them. One day I was sitting on my back deck, and I hear the distinctive call. They were attacking my neighbors holly tree. I ran inside to get my camera, and they were gone by the time I was back outside. I am convinced they did that to me on purpose, just to frustrate me a bit more.
