Arctic emissary comes to the Waterville Plateau, Douglas County, WA

I suspect in the first image she is signaling to me that I have to find my own damn voles.....

I have the 400mm f/2.8 also, it's a good lens, but, you are also a good photographer to go along with it. :)
Nice job on that!

Randy

Thank you very much for your kind words, they are much appreciated :)

Carolina Chickadee in the shade. I like moody shots like this, they may not be as colorful, but I still like 'em, well, IF the background looked good after uploading. :)

Can't help with the waders, but that looks like a Brent Goose to me.

Nice find Christy. I have yet to see a Snowy. Looks like you are getting the handle on that Sigma. The flight pic looks nice, the weather, not so. Look forward to seeing more pics.ߘ

The longer I look at your photo, the more I like it : the soft focus of the water, beautiful reflection and the feather detail. I tend to ignore these ducks, as they are always around, but maybe I should pay more attention in future.

There is something very special about this image, not sure exactly what it is. A high, white, overcast day, I am guessing and perfect white balance. I attended a 2 day seminar in Dallas years ago, taught by Arthur Morris. He had at least 100 pithy quotes. One that applies to this image: "Mike, there is no secret to taking a great bird photograph, you just have to get everything right". Very nicely done.

Thanks guys.

I was waiting there , for over an hour , to get the most beautifull light.
An hour for the sun dissapeared, it all fell together.
