It's been a LONG time since I was close enough to one of these to be able to actually get a shot before they got spooked and flew off. Winter has a way of making birds do strange stuff though.Speaking of "strange", all of the different kinds of ducks that day in this spot were swimming up the where it started to be solid ice then they would jump up and start walking... It was kind of surreal.
