High School Basketball

Wanted to post some of my basketball shots from today critique. Sports photography is not my specialty, so any advice would be appreciated.

Good photos. I am a "keep the verticals vertical" nut. Try straightening photos 2, 3 and 4 using the KNOWN verticals as a guide, ignore the horizontals. Doors, windows, backboards, etc. are usually plum and good guides for straightening.

Ditto. Also, it is generally not good to crop at joints...eg in last photo you have cut all players off at ankles. Also don't like second to last photo where ball and net get cropped out. That photo would be so much better if the full ball and net could be seen. The rest look great...just straighten the horizons.

For a "non specialist" sports shooter you seem to be nailing focus. What settings are you using?
