Heya,

Do you already have experience with photography?
Understand very well exposure values?
Understand very well how to expose with high ISO in mind (ETTR)?
What gear are you working with (Camera, lenses, flashes available)?
Examples of what you're trying to achieve?

Where you plan to shoot, you can use flash? Lots of venues don't allow flash. Just curious. Is this for the club (paid; sponsored), or is this for your own?

What will you be using to post-process? And what's the final display medium going to be (web only, social media, etc)? I ask because it's important to know how quickly the images need to appear on the display medium (ie, social media I assume, and how you shoot, capture, process, etc, will effect work flow and speed).

Welcome to POTN.

Very best,

Use a speedlight. High ISO, open aperture to capture the desired level of ambient, shutter speed to avoid blur and shake :P.

A big factor if you are using a flash is in getting a good "bounce" to provide fill without the messy direct flash look.

You can see an example with the "Better Bounce" product (although you can make your own):
