Hi all and a awesome 2016
As canon can't get it right, to put a flip LCD on its single digit models, one has to revert to a double digit model as soon as one want to use the same, (still so much stupidity is uncomprehensible. In days gone buy one paid top dollar to get a top few viewfinder (Hasselblad, rolley, Mamia) But that is an entirely different matter!
Coming back to my problem. I tried to do a tethered macro stack with a 1D IV and I did not get the "loupe" to work.
Everything else is fine, I can adjust shooting, flash etc but can not go into the magnifier and with that, can't control the focus via the laptop
Is there a camera setting I'm missing??
Any suggestions
All help welcome
Always good light

I use this software a lot with my 1Ds MkIII...when difficulties appear, they are usually user error.
Have you downloaded latest version from CanonUSA website...is your camera properly set-up as it can be tricky,
is it set for 100% manual mode with the lens set for manual focus...there are lots of custom functions that need proper settings.

If all else fails, give Canon Tech Support a call at 1-800-OKCANNON
