Photoshop elements 14 won't install..please Help

I just bought hard copy of elements 14 from amazon and it won't install.
I had elements 7 previously with no trouble, I uninstalled it prior to this. I am running windows 7 (SP1)
I followed all the advice
restarting, disable virus and firewall etc but still no joy.
Any help much appreciated.

Did you resolve it?

If not maybe your problem is the same as mine was. Basically the old copy does not un install properly. Even after using their extra uninstall fix it program.

It totally wrecked my machine.
Took 5 days solid to resolve.

I was more lucky. Renaming folders did resolve problem and it then installed OK. Sorry to hear You had more problems.
