We've had plenty of cloud cover and fog over the past ten days. Nice and warm down here but the light has been terrible. I did manage some Hooded Merganser shots one morning as the sea fog broke up and the sun was in and out for a couple of hours. This was a fresh water pond not too far from the beach. I struggled to get my shutter speed where I wanted without cranking up the ISO too high.

Lovely shots, Steve. You're lucky its only been cloudy for ten days, it seems like months here.

Thanks Al. I only mention the past ten days because those were the days I had off from work for the holidays. It's actually been bad for much longer, very wet and gray mornings. Back to work tomorrow, that should bring out the sun.
