Yours is just as gorgeous as Farmer Ted's! Thank you for posting another great photo!

That's because we were there together! LOL
It's amazing with his hate of heights that he got closer to the edge than I did.

A distinct possibility; I hate them too.

great capture Ted, on the very top of my bucket list is hiking (or rather climbing down) to the snake river and spend the night there doing long exposures!

This is from the same day as Farmer Ted, he's just trying to steal my thunder.

Wait, did someone else just post a photo of this same spot? I know I saw this photo, or one almost exactly like it, like a week or two ago.

Edit: Yeah, I've read the other replies now. Y'all were hiking together. That's awesome. I want to get my girlfriend her own camera, but she doesn't want one. She's into photography, to the extent that she sees some great shots to be had, and then tells me to take it. It would be fun to see the different photos we would produce, but at the same time I am thankful for having a photography partner who enjoys going out shooting with me and provides me with perspectives I would not have found on my own.

That's what it's all about. We like shooting tigether, have similar gear and borrow stuff back and forth where need be. It's fun to see our edits and compare. I'd strongly suggest finding shooting friends.

I don't know this guy; nor do I like him. Or his friend Mike

Haha. Yeah, that's what I was saying about being thankful. She doesn't shoot, but she has become my photography partner. We have a photo project we are doing together now, and we're constantly discussing ideas for future shots. She doesn't know anything about the technical details of photography, but she is always picking out subjects, angles, and elements of composition. She's resistant to shooting though. I want to get a compact that shoots RAW so she can keep it in her purse. Then we'd have a RAW capable camera when we don't have one of my ICL bodies out with us, but I'm having trouble convincing her that is something we should spend money on.

But the most important thing is that I have someone who will go out with me when I'm going shooting now, it's no longer a solo endeavor to head out in the city with my camera. She'll carry my tripod so I can easily go through my bag while on the move, and lend me a hand in other ways. I'm lucky that the love of my life has become my photography partner as well.

Love these two. Where in the Sahara were you and what mountains form the backdrop?

From the San Luis Valley last week. Didn't work as a color shot, kind of flat colors and light, but I like the b&w version.

Wow, beautiful colours, perfect one-point perspective. What a great picture.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.
